Age-Friendly Yarmouth to Address Age Stereotypes

YARMOUTH-  Age-Friendly Yarmouth will be hosting a free ‘Cape-wide Dinner and Workshop’ in an effort to address age stereotypes and promote intergenerational interaction.

The talk will be hosted by Nancy Henkin, founder and former executive director of the Intergenerational Center at Temple University.

Henkin will lead a discussion on the biases and stereotypes people of all age’s face, with the goal of fostering interaction between people of different generations and backgrounds.

Through series of exercises and discussions, Henkin will guide participants toward creating new ideas and a willingness to work together to make Cape Cod a livable community for all ages.

Henkin currently serves as a Senior Fellow at Generations United and a national consultant in intergenerational practice, policy and research.

Discussions begin Thursday, May 31st from 4-8 PM at the Yarmouth Senior Center. A confirmed reservation by May 25th is required to attend.
