CENTERVILLE – A 3 day workshop will focus on information for builders, health professionals, individuals and family members which can help people stay in their homes as they age or suffer from a condition that requires home modification or equipment.
The Home Builders and Remodelers Association of Cape Cod’s third aging in place certification workshop will take place on November 29th, 30th and December 1st at the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce’s Sandy Neck conference room.
The course helps participants identify and understand common problems and design concepts that create a safe and comfortable environment.
In addition, the workshop will teach attendees about making homes more “visitable” for visitors who need home modifications.
These topics will help the certified specialists assist homeowners make the correct decisions.
With the Capes growing older demographic, it is important for professionals and family to learn ways to address these needs.
The cost is $250 per day for HBRACC members and $350 for non-members.
