BREWSTER – Agway of Cape Cod is celebrating National Dog Week in two ways.
Agway’s Charitable Foundation has announced a donation of $40,000 to local animal shelters as a result of this year’s Paw Palooza event.
Checks were recently presented in the amount of $20,000 each to the Animal Rescue League of Boston’s Brewster shelter and the MSPCA’s Centerville shelter.
More than 10,000 people and several hundred dogs took part in the event.
The Charitable Foundation is also hosting a Yappy Hour on Thursday from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Laurino’s Tavern in Brewster.
Guests and their dogs can mingle under the tent on the outdoor patio, enjoy complimentary appetizers and win door prizes.
A $10 donation at the door will support the MSPCA and the ARL’s Brewster shelter.
