Agway’s ‘Paw Palooza’ Raises $56,000 for Local Animal Shelters

YARMOUTH – The Agway of Cape Cod Charitable Foundation has announced a donation of $56,000 to local animal shelters as a result of this year’s Paw Palooza.

The Animal Rescue League of Boston’s Brewster shelter and the MSPCA’s Centerville shelter each received checks in the amount of $28,000 this week.

In addition to the donations to the ARL and the MSPCA, Agway also made a donation of $2,500 to the Yarmouth Police Foundation in honor of Sgt. Sean Gannon. The funds will be used to help build the new Yarmouth Police Department training facility.

Since its inception in 2016, Paw Palooza has raised more than $110,000 for animal welfare organizations on the Cape.

More than 12,000 people and hundreds of dogs attended the event back in July, making it the largest turnout to date.
