BARNSTABLE – Artwork by Alan M. Salvaggio is now on display at Barnstable Town Hall in the James H. Crocker Jr. Hearing Room and the Selectmen’s Conference Room.
The exhibit is part of the “Art on Loan” program which displays the works of local artists on meeting room walls on the second floor in Town Hall.
Alan Salvaggio has lived, studied, and worked his entire life in New England.
Residing in the Northeast has enabled Salvaggio to experience and explore the beauty and grandeur of the northern New England Mountains and the Atlantic coastline of Cape Cod.
His business and personal travels allowed him to explore each location’s unique and diverse natural habitat.
This love of nature and the outdoors is reflected in many of his works.
Savaggio’s most recent work is an ongoing exploration of the various forms seen in nature, some simple and others more intricate.
These works combine observations of line, form, and textures explored with pen and ink.
The gesture, composition, and perspective of movements through space are coupled with his use of watercolors.
The Barnstable Town Hall exhibit is open to the public and is on display now through January 14th, 2020.
