Alzheimer’s Foundation of America Names Cape Cod Healthcare as Newest Member

HYANNIS – Cape Cod Healthcare has been named the newest member organization of the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.

The nationwide network has more than 2,800 member organizations with the goal of providing support services and education to individuals, families and caregivers impacted by Alzheimer’s and other dementia diseases.

“We look forward to our continued collaboration with the AFA to support our mission to provide services to caregivers and their families afflicted by Alzheimer’s disease and or other related dementias,” said Suzanne Faith, RN, CDP, Program Manager for Cape Cod Healthcare.

“We appreciate the work AFA does locally and nationally to highlight the needs of those living with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.”

AFA works with members to provide resources to families, including through its free helpline with licensed social workers who can connect callers with services in the area.

The national helpline is 866-232-8484.

“AFA works closely with our member organizations to help those affected by Alzheimer’s disease and connect them with programs, services and support,” said Charles Fuschillo, Jr., AFA’s president and CEO.

“We are very excited to welcome Cape Cod Healthcare to our member network and look forward to having them work with us to help people living with Alzheimer’s throughout Cape Cod and the surrounding areas.”

CCHC operates Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis and Falmouth Hospital, the Visiting Nurse Association of Cape Cod, five outpatient centers, four urgent care centers, an employed physician group, a skilled nursing facility, and an assisted living facility. The organization has 121 outpatient access points across the region.
