HARWICH PORT – The region’s newest professional orchestra will host a winter concert next month in Harwich Port.
The Cape Cod Chamber Orchestra presents “An Afternoon of Chamber Music” on Sunday, February 17 at 3 p.m. at Pilgrim Congregational Church on Route 28.
The concert is the chamber’s third performance in its inaugural four concert season.
The performance will include Mendelssohn’s String Octet in E Flat, Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 3, and the debut of new art songs by composer-in-residence Francis Snyder.
The chamber’s first season, Navigations, is inspired by Conductor Matthew Scinto’s vision for the future of classical music on Cape Cod.
Scinto’s mission is collaborate with local Cape residents, arts organizations and causes to create a unique concert experience of high quality, enriching and memorable orchestral music.
