“Angst: The Musical” at Cotuit Center for the Arts

COTUIT – The Cotuit Center for the Arts presents “Angst: The Musical,” an original play, Tuesday, August 15 through Friday, August 19. Performances are at 7:30 PM in the Black Box.

Poignant and amusing, funny and emotional, this original play, written and performed by the Cotuit Teen Theater Project, provides a candid look at a typical high school day, as seen through the eyes of the student body.

“You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll chew your nails,” said Michele Colley, who, alongwith Kristin Stewart, is directing the play.

Tickets are $15 and $10 for members. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit artsonthecape.org.

Founded in 1993 and incorporated as a non-profit charitable organization in 1995, the Cotuit Center for the Arts has grown into an award-winning and dynamic arts and cultural hub serving Cape Cod, Southeastern Massachusetts, and beyond.

The Center hosts more than 35,000 visitors yearly for free and paid programming in their gallery, main theater, black box theater, and classrooms, and serve local populations of disabled teens and adults and incarcerated youth through outreach programs.

This year’s roster features 8 Mainstage theater productions, 11 Black Box shows, 40 or so class offerings, 12 Gallery installations, and 41 special events from concerts to student collaborations, annual festivals to talent showcases, craft fairs to magic shows.
