HARWICH – The Cape is home to a number of interesting land mammals and the Harwich Conservation Trust is holding a workshop to learn more about them.

Residents will have the opportunity to join Todd Kelley, a 12th generation Cape Codder, for a wildlife tracking workshop to learn how to interpret animal movements through the tracks and signs they leave behind.

Attendees will search for clues left by animals that include otter, fox, coyote, deer, raccoon, muskrat, skunk and maybe even a mink.

The tracking workshop will be held on Saturday, October 10, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Bell’s Neck Conservation Lands. A rain date is set for Sunday, October 11.

Workshop materials will be provided.

Space is limited and the workshop costs $15 per person. To register for the workshop, visit harwichconservationtrust.org.

The Harwich Conservation Trust, which was founded in 1988, is a nonprofit organization with a mission to preserve land that protects woods, water, wildlife and quality of life.
