Annual Cape Coastal Conference to Focus on Water Quality, Resiliency

HYANNIS – Life on Cape Cod is linked to the coastline and it is critical to understand how the ecosystems change over time and how decisions we make affect their health.

Local officials, managers, policymakers, scientists, technical experts, conservation organizations and community groups will gather next month to discuss the most pressing environmental issues facing Cape Cod.

The 6th Annual Cape Coastal Conference is December 4-5 at the Hyannis Resort & Conference Center.

The goal of the forum is to share science-based information that can inform better management and stewardship of our shared coastal resources.

This year’s conference will focus on two main themes: water quality and preparing local communities to be more resilient in the face of mounting coastal risks and a changing climate.

The first day will focus on water quality issues, and climate change and coastal resiliency is on the agenda for day two.

There is no cost to attend the conference but registration is required.
