HYANNIS – An annual celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King will be held in Hyannis on Sunday afternoon.
The Service of Commemoration begins at 2:30 pm at the Barnstable Town Hall parking lot for a silent march to the Federated Church, where a service begins at 3 pm.
As part of the service, third graders from the Hyannis West Elementary School will offer reflections on King’s life and legacy and his vision for racial equality. Offerings will benefit the Cape Cod Branch of the NAACP’s scholarship fund.
Fellowship will be held after the service at the church’s Baldwin Hall.
