Annual Nantucket Book Festival to Feature Over 30 Local Authors

NANTUCKET – Now in it’s eighth year, the Nantucket Book Festival has established itself as a major summer destination for booklovers.

The four day festival offers author readings, panel discussions and social events with impressive and electric lineups of authors.

This year’s festival, to take place from June 13 through June 16, will include presentations from acclaimed authors Esi Edugyan, Susan Orlean, and Craig Johnson.

Nantucket’s favorite literary son Nathaniel Philbrick will discuss his third book in his Revolutionary War series, In the Hurricane’s Eye: The Genius of George Washington and the Victory at Yorktown.

Readers interested in medical advances will enjoy presentations by Charles Graeber and Dr. Matt McCarthy, while Nantucket based authors Steven Axelrod, Blue Balliett, and Cherle Burns headline a mystery panel.

The 8th Annual Nantucket Book Festival begins on June 13.
