Anthony Schiavi Sworn In As New Bourne Town Administrator

BOURNE – Anthony Schiavi has been sworn in as the new Bourne Town Administrator.

A joint meeting with the town’s planning board and board of selectmen last week saw Schiavi officially take office.

“I know I briefly introduced myself at town meeting, but I want to again thank the board for their confidence in me to come in as your next town administrator,” Schiavi said at the meeting.

Schiavi signed a three year, seven month contract. He will be making $170,000 per year with potential incentives up to $5,000 based on job performance.

“I’m looking forward to the opportunity as we advance policies and objectives and goals, and as a team, begin to address issues that Bourne has on their plate,” Schiavi said.

A retired member of the U.S. Air Force and Massachusetts Air National Guard, Schiavi has worked as the Town Manager of Ashland.

He ran as the Republican nominee for Cape & Island State Senate in 2016, losing to Democratic incumbent Julian Cyr.
