DENNIS – The Association to Preserve Cape Cod will hold its 50th anniversary annual meeting and awards ceremony on Monday, September 15th. A reception will be held at 4:30 Monday at the Cape Cod Museum of Art on Hope Lane in Dennis Village.
The reception will be followed by the meeting and an awards ceremony next door at the Cape Cinema at 5:30.
The theme of the meeting will focus around the fifty years as Cape Cod’s regional environmental advocacy and educational organization, the achievements that have been realized and three Cape Cod advocates will be recognized. Those being honored include State Senator Dan Wolf, Robert Prescott and Alan McClennan, Jr.
The keynote speaker for the meeting will be Steve Curwood, host and executive producer of Living on Earth, the weekly environmental news and information program distributed by Public Radio International.
The annual meeting is open to the public as well as APCC members.
