APCC to Host Guided Walk Through Chatham

CHATHAM – The summer season is coming to a close on Cape Cod but the weather during the shoulder season is still perfect to enjoy a walk on the Outer Cape.

The Association to Preserve Cape Cod will host a guided walk through Chatham on Tuesday at 10 a.m.

The walk will be on land owned by the Chatham Conservation Foundation, the town’s local land trust.

The foundation’s executive director Matt Cannon and APCC’s education & outreach director Kristin Andres will guide attendees on trails through pitch pine oak forest and along coastal plain ponds.

The 1 and ½ hour walk is along moderately hilly terrain with irregular footing with no restrooms.

Participants should dress for the weather and take precautions against ticks and poison ivy.

Parking is limited and walkers are encouraged to carpool.

The walk is free of charge, but space is limited and pre-registration is required.

Details about the location and parking will be provided upon registration.

To register visit the events page at apcc.org.

Anyone with questions can contact Kristin Andres with the APCC by email to kandres@apcc.org.
