Applicants Sought for Barnstable County Human Rights Commission

BARNSTABLE – Applicants are being sought to fill vacancies on the Barnstable County Human Rights Commission.

The commission actively promotes equal opportunity for all who live and work in, or visit the county.

The volunteer body is made up of nine commissioners who are appointed by Barnstable County Commissioners, along with representatives from the 15 Cape towns and the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe.

The county is seeking three commissioners to serve through December 2020 and one to complete a current term ending this December.

Interested candidates should mail a cover letter and resume to: Barnstable County Human Services Department, HRC Candidates, P.O. Box 427, Barnstable, MA 02630. Submissions should be postmarked no later than Friday, May 25.

Interviews are tentatively scheduled for the first week of June.
