CHATHAM – The committee for this year’s Independence Day Parade in Chatham already has applications available. It is recommended that they be submitted early, as this year’s parade is expected to be the biggest ever.
The theme is “Hooked on Chatham”.
Participant position numbers will be published online and in the newspaper. To alleviate the wait, there will be designated check in times.
Last year’s extension of the parade route will remain in place.
Applications must be submitted by June first at the Chatham Parade website or by email at [email protected], where you can also join the e-newsletter.
The parade is scheduled to take place on July fourth beginning at 9:30. To get a good viewing spot, people are advised to get to town early.
The parade is one of the oldest in the United States and attracts upwards of twenty thousand spectators.
