Applications being Accepted for Cape Art Scholarships

SOUTH YARMOUTH – A scholarship opportunity is available for art students on Cape Cod.

The trustees of the John and Thirza Davenport Foundation for the Arts are accepting applications to grant scholarships to Barnstable County residents studying visual and performing arts.

The scholarships are primarily for graduate students but applications will also be accepted from students in the last two years of their undergraduate study.

All awards will be based on need, ability, grades and proven desire in the fields of theatre, music or art.

Scholarships are granted on a year to year basis without commitments for continuous funding.

The scholarship granting process will include personal interviews.

Applications can be downloaded from www.thedavenportcompanies.com or obtained from the Foundation’s office on North Main Street in South Yarmouth.

Applications must be submitted by July 15.
