April Fools’ Day Plunge in Chatham Re-Scheduled to Sunday

CHATHAM – The 10th Annual April Fools’ Day Plunge, scheduled to take place tomorrow afternoon at Hardings Beach in Chatham has been rescheduled due to the weather.

The event will now take place on Sunday at 2 p.m.

A free post-swim BBQ will also take place at the Chatham VFW, immediately following the swim.

All money raised at the event will go to help 27 year old Harwich resident Ryan Watson, who was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor.

Watson is currently being treated at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Massachusetts General Hospital.

Due to the nature of the treatments, he is unable to work his regular job with the Cape Cod Mosquito Control.

Over $100,000 has been raised for local families in need from the annual event.
