Two Animal Welfare Groups to Benefit from Clam Bar Benefit

EASTHAM – Wild Care Inc., a wildlife rescue and rehabilitation center in Eastham, and the Animal Rescue League of Boston’s Brewster chapter, will receive all proceeds from Arnold’s Lobster & Clam Bar in Eastham next weekend as part of a fundraiser.

“Nick Nickerson, owner of Arnold’s Lobster & Clam Bar is incredibly generous,” said Stephanie Ellis, Wild Care Executive Director.

“We are so impressed by Arnold’s support of the community, and grateful for their support of Wild Care. It makes a huge difference for us, and is critical for funding our operations every summer. We look forward to this fun event every year. We hope that many will come out to support us and patronize this wonderful restaurant,” she said.

The fundraiser is set to take place on Friday, September 20th and Saturday, September 21st from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.

All proceeds received by Arnold’s, located at 3580 Route 6 Eastham,  including food sales, ice cream, and mini golf will be given to Wild Care and the Animal rescue league.

“What’s going to happen on the 20th and the 21st is 100 percent of the proceeds of all food sales, ice cream, and of course Arnold’s has a great mini golf course, will be collected over those two days and divided equally,” said Animal Rescue League Media Relations Officer, Mike DeFina.

“It’s certainly just a last chance for folks to get that last taste of summer, enjoy some good food, good friends, and really just help out two local amazing causes.”

Since their founding in 1994, Wild Care has accepted over 27,000 wild creatures, representing 275 species of native birds, mammals, and reptiles.

On average they receive over 1,700 wild animals per year for treatment.

Founded in 1899, the Animal Rescue League of Boston provides high quality veterinary care, adoption, and rescue services; while also confronting the root cause of animal cruelty and neglect through innovative community programs, police investigations, and public advocacy.
