Art Group Presents an Exhibit With a Twist

COURTESY OF THE CAPE COD ART ASSOCIATION

HYANNIS _  The Cape Cod Art Association has an upcoming exhibit which will highlight the works of juried artists and photographers, but with a twist.

The Points of View exhibit will run from April 18th to May 15th at the Association Gallery located at 3480 Route 6A in Barnstable.

For this exhibit, the art association’s juried photographers submitted unedited reference photos for artists to interpret.

For each reference photo, up to three different pieces of original art have been created, and photographers were also allowed to edit their image that will hang with the grouping of artwork inspired by their original reference photo.

In addition, the exhibit’s opening award ceremony and reception will take place on Thursday April 21st from 5 to 7 p.m.

Those in attendance will be able to meet the artists, as well as vote on their favorite piece to win the coveted people’s choice award.

The Cape Cod Art Association’s gallery is open Monday through Saturday from 9 to 4, and on Sundays from noon to 4.
