TRURO – Truro Center for the Arts at Castle Hill will be hosting an exhibition featuring the work completed this session by students in the “Art on Saturdays” program.
Students ages between the ages of 7 and 15 have explored drawing, bookmaking, printmaking, collage and sculpture throughout the course of the six week program, and will now be exhibiting their gelatin prints and collages, as well as their handmade felt flags.
The program was designed to serve local elementary, middle and high school students on the Cape, from Provincetown to Brewster.
The project based curriculum demonstrated techniques while encouraging students to experiment with materials, explore ideas and establish their own body of work.
The closing reception will be Sunday, December 10th from 2 until 4 PM at Castle Hill’s Gallery, located at 10 Meetinghouse Road in Truro. The Closing is a free event and open to the public.
