BARNSTABLE – The Association to Preserve Cape Cod recently received an award of $472,574 from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
The funding will be used to assess, design and install stormwater retrofits in the area of Barnstable’s Three Bays watershed.
The area was identified by the Association as “severely degraded” by nutrients and bacteria contamination.
The project is one of eight selected for funding across the region, and will involve Three Bays Preservation and the Town of Barnstable during the three years it will take to complete.
