Association to Preserve Cape Cod to Celebrate Nature with Several Spring Events

DENNIS – Spring is here and the Association to Preserve Cape Cod is celebrating nature with several events.

On April 19, artists will talk about their work and nature at the Cape Cod Museum of Art from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Artists Mark Adams, Joe Diggs, Sarah Hinckley & Mike Wright will discuss their works on display in the Association’s 50th anniversary exhibit.

An Earth Day celebration will be held April 21 at 10 a.m. at the Chatham Orpheum with the showing of “Love Thy Nature.” A social hour will be held at 9 a.m. and a filmmaker Q&A will follow via SKYPE. Proceeds from the event benefit the Association.

A lecture on fighting weeds and non-native invasive species will be held on Sunday, April 29 at 1 p.m. at the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History. Mike Bald of “Got Weeds?” will share his years of expertise.

And a rain garden workshop will be held Wednesday, May 2 from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Eastham Public Library. Attendees will learn how eco-friendly stormwater systems are designed to work and how they can be maintained.
