CAPE COD- The Behavioral Health Provider Coalition will host an event to benefit fallen Yarmouth Police Sergeant Sean Gannon’s family and the Yarmouth Police Foundation during a ‘Back the Blue’ charity event, and fundraiser.
“When [Sergeant] Gannon was killed it hit pretty close to home, because he did a lot of work in the community with drug issues, and those [types of] things, that’s a part of what the coalition deals with, with dual diagnosis and things like that. After speaking with them, I had discussed that it was something that I would like to do, and… [the organization was] 100% behind that,” says Jessica Servidori, Event Organizer.
“A gentleman donated two luxury box seats to a Red Sox v/ Yankees game and they include on-field batting practice with the team. We have an authentic Boston Bruins jersey that the whole team signed for us, we’ve had a lot of restaurants donate gift certificates, [and] we’ve had art studios donate pieces of artwork. It’s turning out to be a pretty big event,” says Servidori.
The event will take place in the JFK Ballroom at The Cape Codder Resort and Spa in Hyannis on June 22nd, from 7-11pm. Tickets are $25 per person and will include hors d’oeuvres, and a mac n’ cheese bar.
Tickets can be purchased online from bhpccapecod.org and will also be available at the door.
