Barnstable Clean Water Coalition Seeks Volunteers

BARNSTABLE – The Barnstable Clean Water Coalition is seeking volunteers interested in gathering weekly streamflow data and water samples for the organization’s Marstons Mills River Restoration Plan.

A training session for those looking to take part will be held on Tuesday, May 1st, from 9am until 3pm

Training will include an introduction to the MMRRP and a trip to the Marstons Mills River sampling sites, where you will be shown where and how to collect data and samples.

The coalition also offers volunteer opportunities to help BCWC staff collect water samples and data, monitor for marine invasive species, or count herring.

If you prefer to keep away from the water, the coalition is always in need of assistance at community events, especially at the upcoming Race for the Pint with Cape Cod Beer on May 6th.
