BARNSTABLE – Barnstable County Sheriff Jim Cummings will speak at the National Sheriff Association’s annual conference this month.
Cummings will discuss the two programs that the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Office has built or enhanced in the battle against opioid abuse.
One is called the Residential Substance Abuse Treatment Program and the other is a program that administers the opioid-blocker drug Vivitrol to departing inmates.
Cummings will join other experts on an anti-opioid panel at the conference that is being held in Minneapolis.
