Barnstable Democrats to Host Forum on How a Changing Climate Affects Cape Cod

BARNSTABLE – A community forum on How the Changing Climate Affects Cape Cod will be held at the Barnstable Senior Center tomorrow.

A panel of speakers, moderated by Barnstable Town Councilor Britt Beedenbender, will present current information on climate impacts and answer questions from audience members. I

In addition, representatives from local environmental organizations will offer ideas on how community members can be engaged in important efforts on local climate issues.

Speakers for the event will include Richard Delaney, President and CEO, Center for Coastal Studies, Andrew Gottlieb, Executive Director, Association for the Preservation of Cape Cod, Jo Ann Muramoto, Director of Science Programs, APCC, and Madhavi Venkatesan, Assistant Teaching Professor of Economics, Northeastern University and Executive Director of Sustainable Practices.

The forum is sponsored by the Barnstable Democratic Town Committee, in honor of Earth Day and is free and open to the public. Doors open at 6:30.
