BARNSTABLE – The Town of Barnstable is hoping to recruit more experienced snow plow contractors ahead of the winter season with pay increases.
The town is looking for contractors with equipment that includes ¾-ton four-wheel-drive trucks, ten wheelers, dump trucks, large trucks, skid steers and other equipment to assist in snow and ice operations.
The increase in pay matches those paid by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
An early sign-on bonus is also being offered to contractors who submit all paperwork by November 15.
Drivers must own their own equipment.
