Barnstable DPW to Host Meeting on Sea Street Improvements

HYANNIS – The Barnstable Department of Public Works will be hosting a public information meeting regarding the planned improvements along portions of Sea Street and Ocean Avenue.

The meeting, being presented by the Town of Barnstable Department of Public Works, will take place this Wednesday March 21st, at 7:00 pm at the Hyannis Transportation Center.

Attendees will have an opportunity to look over the proposed plan and learn details about the projected time frame for completion.

The objectives of the state-funded project are to improve pedestrian and bicycle access and overall traffic safety, replace or improve aging infrastructure, and enhance the streetscape.

The construction is currently scheduled to start in the fall and expected to continue into next year. It will cease between Memorial Day and Labor Day, and over the winter.
