Barnstable Harbor Ecotours to Benefit APCC

BARNSTABLE – Residents and visitors can take a tour of Barnstable Harbor next month with the proceeds to benefit a local environmental organization.

The Association to Preserve Cape Cod will hold Barnstable Harbor Ecotours on June 5 from 3 to 5 p.m. and June 22 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Participants will join Captain Joe aboard the Horseshoe Crab, a 25-passenger pontoon boat.

APCC staff and an expert naturalist will introduce you to Barnstable Harbor and the Great Marsh, along with Sandy Neck Beach, its Cottage Colony and lighthouse.

Local wildlife will be discussed, along with the ecology of the salt marsh ecosystem and the geologic and human history of Cape Cod and Barnstable Harbor.

Tickets are $45 and can be purchased at apcc.org. Very limited seats remain for both tours.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit the organization.
