Barnstable High School to Receive $30K STEM Grant

HYANNIS – Barnstable High School has been chosen to receive a $30,000 STEM High-Quality Career Pathways Grant from the state.

The grant will be used to add a Project Lead the Way computer science course at the school.

The grant is funded by the STEM Advisory Council and the Workforce Skills Cabinet with private support from MassSTEM Hub.

“I am very pleased about this grant to Barnstable High School and very thankful that Project Lead the Way will provide the funding for all aspects of this course,” said State Representative Will Crocker (R-Centerville).

“Science, Technology, Engineering and Math education is vital to students as STEM is an ever-growing field that is leading in the push for future career development for the next generation of American workers. This course will be another tool for them to use as they choose their path in life.”
