KA_Hyannis_Barnstable Airport Planes05111315HYANNIS – Barnstable Municipal Airport is getting a funding boost thanks to another local airport.

Provincetown Airport did not use all of its yearly funding from the FAA and has offered to transfer $312,000 to the Barnstable airport, according to Bud Breault, the airport manager.

The airport in Hyannis will add $188,000 of that money to a previous grant for the reconstruction of the 15-33 runway.

A grant of $124,000 will be used to seal and repaint the 300,000 square-foot main terminal parking ramp

The re-surfacing and re-painting will help preserve the ramp for at least five years.
