Barnstable Natural Resources Supervisor Dies After Battle with Cancer

Courtesy of the Town of Barnsatble: Doug Kalweit, who served as the Natural Resources Supervisor for Barnstable died after a two-year battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 75.

BARNSTABLE – The Natural Resources Supervisor for the town of Barnstable recently died after a two-year battle with pancreatic cancer.

Doug Kalweit was 75 years old.

He was an employee of the town for 44 years and held positions of deputy conservation officer, shellfish warden, shellfish constable and nature resources officer.

Kalweit served as the Natural Resources Supervisor since 1992.
