Barnstable Outer Channel Dredge Project to Begin

BARNSTABLE – Work on the Barnstable Outer Channel Dredge Project is about to begin.

The state boat ramp at Blish Point will be used for dewatering operations with limited access available.

Work is scheduled to begin on Monday on the state boat ramp parking lot but dredging in the outer harbor channel is expected to start today.

Contractors will be utilizing the state boat ramp parking area until February 5 and there will be limited access to Millway Beach while heavy equipment is in operation in the area.

The town boat ramp at Millway will remain available for use by residents.

Work on the Barnstable inner harbor bulkhead will also undergo scraping and recoating work over the next several months.
