Barnstable Police Awarded over $50K in Grants

Barnstable PoliceBARNSTABLE – Barnstable police were notified last week that they have been awarded over $50,000 in grants.

The department was awarded $16,000 for a First Responder Naloxone grant to help with drug overdoses and prevention education brochures.

Police were awarded $14,460 for an Emergency Performance grant for handheld radios.

Other grants for include $9,960 for underage alcohol enforcement, $4,980 for pedestrian bicycle safety and $6,000 for traffic enforcement.

All of the grants will go through an acceptance process with the Town Council.
