Barnstable Recognized for Work with Korean War Vets

HYANNIS – The Town of Barnstable has been recognized by the Republic of Korea for their efforts in supporting veterans of the Korean War.

Consul General Yonghyon Kim presented the Presidential Citation to the town, thanking them for their support and noting that 2020 marks 70 years since the start of that conflict in Korea.

The town accepted the award, and expressed optimism that peace in Korea can be achieved one day.
