BARNSTABLE – The town of Barnstable is looking to gather input from the public on the future of athletic fields in the community.

A public information session will be held Thursday, September 21 at the Barnstable Senior Center at 5:30 p.m. to discuss the town-wide comprehensive field study.

The study is using public input and demographics to determine what types of fields are needed.

The town will then integrate that information with the current inventory and condition of existing fields, along with possible available parcels of land.

A capital expenditure draft plan will be created and recommendations will be made for future field development.

The meeting will include a presentation of the study and allow attendees to ask questions and provide comments.
