BARNSTABLE – The Barnstable Board of Health will meet this Thursday for a workshop on tobacco, nicotine, and second hand smoke.
The event will include a presentation from Bob Collette, of the Barnstable County Tobacco Control Program, who will present multiple ideas that may need to be addressed or updated in regards to our current tobacco regulations.
Among the items under consideration is the regions current lack of regulations on e-cigarettes, vaping, smoking outdoors at public properties and restaurant patios.
Collette will also discuss increasing the age to age 21 for tobacco sales, prohibiting flavored blunt cigars, restricting the locations and number of establishments which can sell tobacco etc.
The workshop will be held on Thursday July 12th at 3:00 PM at Barnstable Town Hall second floor Hearing Room.
