BARNSTABLE – A number of capital improvement projects are in line for funding in Barnstable after the Town Council approved them last week.

All but two of the projects apart of the Capital Improvement Plan for fiscal year 2017 passed. The remaining two need community preservation funding.

Some of the items up for funding include dredging at Barnstable Harbor and a number of roadway and sidewalk improvements. The Barnstable Department of Public Works has requested money for 17 projects in total.

The Council is expected to take up final approval for the Capital Improvement Plan at their meeting on May 5.
