BARNSTABLE – The four finalists for the position of Barnstable Town Manager will be interviewed Saturday by the Barnstable Town Council.

The four candidates for the position are Barnstable Assistant Town Manager Mark Ells, Hanover Town Manager Troy Clarkson, Westport Town Manager Timothy King, and Nicole Ard, the former City Manager in Sandusky, Ohio.

The search process began with 15 candidates and was narrowed down the current finalists.

Interviews will be held beginning at 10 am at Barnstable Town Hall in Hyannis. Councilors are expected to choose a candidate by the end of the day.

The council plans to appoint the chosen candidate to the position by May 19.

Saturday’s interviews are open to the public.

Current Town Manager Tom Lynch’s contract expires at the end of June. Lynch announced last September that he would not pursue a new deal after the Town Council launched a search for a new town manager.
