Barnstable Town Hall Unveils Latest Local Art Works

Town ArtBARNSTABLE – Cape Cod is a haven for the artistic community, and Barnstable Town Hall has unveiled the latest local artist’s works on its meeting room walls as part of the art on loan program.

The featured artist’s work adorning the walls from now until September is Harriet Zabusky-Zand, a Marstons Mills resident since 1990.

Zabusky-Zand’s series on display is entitled “Faith Like Flowing Water,” and represents her views of living next to a lake, and capturing nature’s changing moods and the rhythm of the seasons. The artist says the works reflect not only the beauty of her surroundings, but also her Buddhist beliefs, as the ripples in water are like the ripples in our lives.

Zabusky-Zand’s paintings are being displayed in the selectmen’s conference room and town hall hearing room, located on the 2nd floor in Barnstable Town Hall through September 30.

The Artwork on Loan program provides a venue for local artists to display work, and offer those who use the meeting rooms an inviting, attractive environment, while at the same time getting an opportunity to learn about some of the Cape’s local artists.
