Barnstable Village Construction Starts in Early September

BARNSTABLE – Construction of the Barnstable Village Improvements Projects is set to begin in early September.

Normal work hours are scheduled to be from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The construction is aimed to improve safety and pedestrian access, revamp old infrastructure, and refine the scenic elements of the area. The project is expected to be completed next May.

The areas of construction include Main Street on Route 6A from Rendezvous Lane to Mill Way, and Mill Way from Main Street to the Barnstable Harbor Marina.

Traffic will remain open during construction. Lanes will be closed and police details will direct traffic. Drivers are urged to use caution when traveling in construction areas.
