Truro Beach Remains Closed

A beachgoer read shark warning signs after a reported shark attack at Longnook Beach in Truro

TRURO – Just about two weeks after a man was attacked by a shark at Longnook Beach in Truro, the beach remains closed to swimmers at this point with no immediate plans to allow swimming there.

The man was attacked while standing about 30 yards offshore and suffered bites to his left side, he continues to recover at Tufts Medical Center.

Gate attendants at Longnook are telling visitors of the prohibition and providing information on sharks safety.
