Behavioral Health Summit Returns to Hyannis in October

HYANNIS – The fifth annual Cape Cod and Islands Behavioral Health Summit will be held next month in Hyannis.

This year’s program will review new evidence and discuss the social determinants of behavioral health, along with introducing resources available to address these factors in the region.

The daylong summit October 6 at the Resort and Conference Center is organized by the Behavioral Health Provider Coalition of Cape Cod and the Islands. The coalition is comprised of 30 organizations, agencies, primary care providers and others serving the mental health needs of residents in the region.

The conference will feature Kumara Sidhartha, MD, MPH, medical director of Emerald Physicians and chair of the Wellness Advisory Board, as the keynote speaker.

Registration for the event is $60 and nursing, physician, LICSW, LMHC and EMS continuing education units are available.
