PLYMOUTH – Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital Plymouth has been recognized for overall quality by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
The hospital was given a four-star quality rating by the organization in their latest rankings. The evaluation is based on how Beth Israel Deaconess Plymouth compared to other hospitals across the country, according to the group.
The national average rating is three-stars.
“This achievement reflects not only our high standards for patient care, but our continued commitment to improvement,” said Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital Plymouth President Kevin Coughlin. “Every staff member, regardless of their position, believes in advocating for the patient, looking for process improvement opportunities, and providing the best possible patient care.”
Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services calculates their ratings based on a number of available data points, such as mortality rates, readmissions, patient satisfaction, claims data, safety of care, quality measures, and timeliness of care.
