HYANNIS – It was a big day for high school football on Cape Cod with several Thanksgiving rivalry games.
The undefeated Falmouth Clippers beat the Barnstable Red Raiders 40-21. The clippers now await a date with Marblehead in the Division 2A Super Bowl at Gillette Stadium a week from Saturday.
The Mashpee Falcons crushed the Sandwich Blue Knights 39-18. The Falcons are headed to a State Championship game against Wahconah in the Division 4 Super Bowl.
The Dennis-Yarmouth Dolphins beat the Nauset Warriors 46-25 in the 21st edition of the Chowder Bowl. D-Y has now won the last 14 meetings.
The Wareham Vikings defeated the Bourne Canalmen 26-8 in their 86th Thanksgiving Day match.
Upper Cape Tech blanked Cape Tech 14-0 in the 6th matchup between the Cape’s two vocational schools and gives Upper Cape a five-game winning streak.
The Monomoy Sharks won a close game against the Sacred Heart Fightin’ Saints 17-7 in the second year of their Thanksgiving matchup.
