Pilgrim Monument and Provincetown Museum to Stay Open until New Year’s Day

PROVINCETOWN – Whether you’ve enjoyed the Pilgrim Monument and Provincetown Museums or have never been, Executive Director David Weidner is hoping you’ll visit in December.

“For the very first time, we will keep the Monument (and Museum) open for our regular hours,  9-5,” he said

The PMPM will be open for the rest of December and January 1. Weidner said they had a very good 2017 season and the staff is already busy planning events and exhibitions for next year.

Weidner said holiday shopping is another great reason to visit the Outer Cape town.

“We’re having a sale in our store and folks can also participate in the Holly Folly Shopping Hop where retailers around town are providing great bargains,” he said

Special holiday events at the PMPM include a meet and greet with the Gay Men’s Chorus on December 2nd and, on January 1st, champagne, oysters, hors d’oeuvres and fireworks.

The monument commemorates the landing of the pilgrims in 1620. At 252 feet, it is the tallest granite tower in the United states.
