BOSTON (AP) — The Piano Man is returning to Fenway Park.
Six-time Grammy Award winner Billy Joel is scheduled to play the home of the Boston Red Sox on Aug. 18, making him the first artist to perform in the iconic ballpark three consecutive years.
Concert promoter Live Nation said Thursday that Joel is returning to Boston by popular demand.
The singer-songwriter has sold 150 million records, making him the sixth best-selling recording artist of all time. He has been inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Tickets for the show go on sale Jan. 22.
James Taylor, Aerosmith, the Rolling Stones and Bruce Springsteen are among the artists who have played Fenway Park in recent years.
