‘Birding the Beach’ With Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary

WELLFLEET – Just in time for an early winter, Mass Audubon and the team at Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary are hosting “Birding the Winter Beach” next month.

Explore the beaches, dunes, and waters of the Outer Cape in search of winter birds including snow buntings, horned larks, sea ducks, loons, and snowy owls.

Participants are asked to dress for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes, bring binoculars, and to arrive and check-in at least 10 minutes before the start of the program.

In order to receive a refund, the canceling party must notify Wellfleet Bay at least seven days before the program begins. A refund will be provided if the program is canceled.

“Birding the Winter Beach” kicks off at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 15, running until 11:00 a.m. Members of the sanctuary pay a $10 admission while non-members pay $12.
